Energy efficient way to heat your business.
The water is pumped through a ground loop (a circuit of water pipes buried below ground level). After being compressed, the water temperature is increased and transferred to your heating system.
The ground loop size will depend on the size of your property and how much heat you need. They can be laid horizontally or vertically into the ground and are suitable for both commercial and domestic properties. These systems, like air source heat pumps are compatible with radiator heating systems, underfloor heating systems and hot water systems. Unlike Air Source Heat Pumps, for a Ground Source Heat Pump, the unit is installed inside the property. Sizes range from the size of a large filing cabinet to small enough to fit under the kitchen sink.
These heating systems are highly efficient. For every 1kW of electricity used to operate the heat pump, it will provide 4kW of energy. Although they cost initially to install, the payback in renewable energy and longevity are well worth the investment.
Additionally, we install this technology for domestic customers too. Furthermore, they also qualify for the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive which closes to new applicants in April 2022.
